MEPF Modeling
All four MEPF trades modeled for the crew installing them, not just for the reviewer approving the sheet. Ductwork, chilled water piping, and plant room equipment; lighting, power, cable tray, conduit, and panels; supply, drainage, sanitary, and storm systems with slopes and inverts; sprinkler, hydrant, and fire-fighting piping with pumps and tanks. Carried to LOD 400, clash-resolved against each other and against structure, with each trade's shop drawings coming off the same coordinated model.
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection - each with full shop drawing production.
Process
- 01
Design intent review
MEPF drawings, equipment and panel schedules, fixture data, reflected ceiling plans, and the fabrication standard reviewed together.
- 02
Modeling
Duct, pipe, tray, conduit, drainage, and fire protection modeled to LOD 400 with supports, slopes, inverts, and access clearances.
- 03
Coordination
Clash resolution between the four trades and against structure and architecture, checked in section as well as in plan.
- 04
Shop drawings
Layouts, isometrics, tray and duct drawings, pump and plant room drawings, sections, and installation details issued from the coordinated model.
- MEP engineering firms needing fabrication-ready modeling across all four trades
- Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors needing shop drawings
- General contractors coordinating a congested ceiling void
Common questions
Yes. The model carries to LOD 400 and the duct, pipe, tray, and sprinkler shop drawings, equipment layouts, and installation details come off it directly.
