Structural Modeling + 2D Drafting & Redline Markups
Steel, concrete, and timber structural modeling built to the engineer's design intent and coordinated against architecture and every MEPF trade - and, in the same field, the drafting work that runs alongside it: hand sketches turned into finished Revit and AutoCAD views, and field and client redlines picked up between issues. Connections and penetrations get resolved in the model, where a beam penetration is still a question rather than a change order.
Structural BIM modeling coordinated against every trade, plus hand-sketch-to-Revit/AutoCAD drafting and field redline pickup.
Process
- 01
Design intent review
Structural drawings, schedules, connection standards, and any sketch or markup backlog reviewed against the modeling scope.
- 02
Framing model
Primary and secondary framing modeled to the agreed LOD in Revit or Tekla.
- 03
Cross-trade coordination
Penetrations, supports, and clearances reconciled against architecture and MEPF.
- 04
Drafting and redline pickup
Sketches drafted into finished views; field and client redlines incorporated, each change referenced back to the markup that drove it.
- 05
QA/QC and handoff
Internal checks, then delivery into the federated model with a change log and the updated sheet set.
- Structural engineers needing modeling and cross-trade coordination capacity
- General contractors coordinating steel or concrete against MEPF
- Architecture firms with a drafting queue longer than the schedule
- Project teams needing field redlines picked up between issues
Common questions
Either, depending on what the project already runs on. Steel detailing work more often sits in Tekla; a fully federated multi-trade job more often sits in Revit.
STRATA models design intent supplied by your architect or engineer of record. We are not the architect or engineer of record on your project, and we do not stamp or seal drawings.
